Dear fans, friends and subscribers,

It's been a while since I've been in touch with news about what has been happening in my world of music. I know that you will understand that with Facebook and twitter it really is quite something keeping abreast with all the social media. This is all good of course, social media is a truly amazing way to let folks know how things are going.

I understand how important it is to keep my loyal friends who are not on these sites up to date with my news. So here goes ... there has been a lot of touring going on both with Jools Holland and with my own band. There have been some fabulous shows and I have to say how great it's been to see so many of you there. It has been quite extraordinary and humbling to be playing to sell out shows over the past few months. Thank you all so much for your support.

I also have some great news for those of you who have been waiting for a new album. It's on its way! I'm hoping it should be available at the end of June/ early July 2014. The album is titled "All That I Am." It’s a collection of Gospel, Blues and R&B. Some classic originals and cover tracks that I hope you will enjoy. The album features a duet with the very special and incredibly talented ‘Passenger’. It’s a track we wrote a few years ago. It really is thrilling to see this young man doing his thing on his own terms and being so successful. I'm honoured to have his blessing for this project.

The album also features a track I have co-written with Nell Brydon which I'm hoping will be my next single. Keep an ear out for this in the coming weeks.
